This weekend was the yearly photo trade fare “Fotomässan” in Stockholm.
As we have written before we were looking forward this trade fare to have a look at the new albums that Volker would make as samples so that we could see them in reality and not only on the screen of the computer.
Well … WOW! Words can not describe how even more beautiful the photos look when printed in 30 x 60 cm spreads and are enclosed in handmade covers of leather, aluminium, wood … ya,no limit to the materials.
A certain maker can make the cover of whichever material we would send to him, like maybe a piece of the … wedding gown!
We got even to see ,or better, to smell, albums that the pages had a smell of chocolate and of strawberry!
We, like a number of our photo-colleagues, had sent to Volker one of our photos to be included in the samples.
We were so happy though to see the photo of our beautiful bride Anya also as a cover at a number of them!![]()

The last photo is from Volker’s crowded booth at the Fotomässan. Markus Schmuck, one of the producers of those albums, was there himself to show them and answer to questions. Around him some of our friends and fellow photographers; Jannis Politidis, Kjell Post, Benny Ottosson and Niklas Wikman.
